I keep playing with the "play/pause" button and STUMBLED across how to get it off Military time. I THINK what I did was when the time first came up, I quickly pushed the "play" button twice and it switched from 04:00 to 4:00. I didn't try it a second time, but it CAN be done. The instructions are pathetic.
